Born Svava of the Muruc tribe, the Veena in her younger years was set to become a healer of their village with a natural affinity for the Mist and a soothing presence, particularly when she sang; her voice captivating. For these reasons was she recognized as a blessed child of the village. Though not only was Svava blessed, she was sharp. Learning was both easy and fun for her, new experiences stimulating her brain and broadening her horizons, inspiring happiness, inspiring song that created happiness for the other villagers.But to have a bright mind and talent came at a cost. Svava matured, her peers expected more of her, and she would steadily realize the village and her tribe, her family. They were too secluded, too narrow in their approach to life. She loved making them happy and safe, and she loved the adoration that followed. But she was bored, she knew there was more. She saw it with her own eyes while the tribes came together to outwit the Garleans' attempt to invade the Skatay Range, the impressive technology they wielded.If they could, why couldn't she? To answer that question, she left, she gave up her name, her promise, and pursued a new future with her potential. Soon abandoning the name Svava and becoming Sonora Matinae, a woman of flourish and flamboyance, but a woman of great intellect who would become an asset to many efforts in researching new discoveries. Azys La, Eureka, the Crystal Tower, even aiding in the Bozjan war.To some, she was simply a songstress. To others, she was omnipresent and a mystery. How such renown came to being was for her to know, as she was often protective of her resources.

Sonora's current life doesn't reflect who she could have been or the teachings of where she was born. But being a trained huntress, helping caretake the young, healing the injured, singing for those who desired to listen. There was serenity and simplicity to what was, and that life is still part of her, even if it's buried by her drive.

Dynamis, Manifestation, and Thavnair:

Sonora's recent ventures take her into Thavnair regularly as it's the home to the discoveries surrounding Dynamis. She aims to find her own method of harnessing such a vague source of power with intent. Even more so it can be combined with aether to produce potent magicks by those who specialize in evoking feelings from people on a more accessible scale.

Hi! I'm Marie, I'm a 30 year old woman of trans experience, and my pronouns are She/Her. I'm really socially anxious and frankly low energy to boot, but I also like making friends, making OCs that serve cunt, and gaming. When I don't have the energy for people, I like to sink my time into games. So chances are, if I'm quiet, that's why. I also like to learn to mod, altering mods to suit my needs and generally developing workflows that help me in that endeavor.I like to goof and have fun with friends and generally be non-serious. Though having autism makes that difficult as I have a very literal interpretation of words and perceiving people, and of course with ADHD emotional regulation is difficult but not impossible. That's going to look awkward most of the time and I just learned to accept it for what it is. I also have specific issues, indicated below, that I treat within a black and white framework and I get pretty discouraged about maintaining a friendship if I find the person upholds a standard in opposition to my own in that framework.It isn't for a lack of holding a nuanced perspective, a lack of compassion, or a lack of seeing people beyond my issues with them. I just don't really want to deal with shit fr so I will choose not to if I feel like that's what needs to happen for my peace and theirs. So I consider myself open as a person but quick to shut the door and say never mind if I'm not feeling it.
